I am NOT a big football fan NOR do i know anything about football and their players (details that is). I know the game though, and I watched cause I knew it would be faily good. And I have to say Gannon just sucks. They should have put in their backup Quarter Back in!

Yeah the Tampa defense was just WAY too strong. They rushed the quarter back VERY fast, quite impressive. Weren't they like the number one defense in their conference or something like that?
Either way, good game, I think it was Gannon who lost it for the Raiders, and that shitty white colored jersey's didn't help

bucks had the number one rated defence
the game didnt get interesting till after the jerry rice td
but uptil that time it was all about old men getting a old school beat down by the new school kids
warren sapp and simeon rice lead the beat down

It also didn't hurt that Gruden and his staff did a superb job at preparing the Bucs for the Raiders. Apparently Oakland ran all the exact same plays that the Bucs practiced against. I wonder if Oakland kept the playbook that Gruden used?
I don't necessarily think that the loss was all Gannon's. He did throw some spot-on passes. Oaklands recievers kept dropping passes.
Time for Rice and Romanowski to retire!!Last edited by mammoth; 01-27-2003 at 11:03 AM.

Gannon was horrible. Thats the worse game he has played all year. He's a pocket passer all the way and if you can shake him up in the first few series, he's probally not going to have a good game. His O-line wasnt blocking worth a damn. But the Bucs D was awsome.

i watched that game. the bucs just dominated the raiders.
Did yall see all those failed 3 point conversions after the touchdowns?
They just got out played yesterday.
overall a nasty game, i really expected a defense game with low low scores.

If the Bucs are able to keep the bulk of their defensive and offensive core's they're gonna have a dynasty in Tampa Bay

The raiders went for the 2 point conversion 3 times and failed every time.

You all know what the worst part of all this was/is? The New Orleans Saints beat the Bucs two times during the season! Yet, the Bengals whooped there ass in there last game...go figure, huh?

The bucs have been a dynasty on d for the past 3-4 years and if the offense would have been above average in that time they would have made the superbowl in 99 AND THEN everyone would argree the team is a dynasty. But with the salary cap and the freedom to cut players at any time and not pay them its hard to keep a team together and even harder to keep a dynasty so in todays football world you have to give a team like the bucs credit for having a dynasty and even the rams cause the rams put together a string of 3 great years 2 sb appearense and 1 win. You wont see dynastys like the steelers cowboys or niners anymore.
100,000 is a lot of people, in 96 the yanks won and had 2 millions at the ticker tape parade in the cold all bundled up when u look at aerial shots of that it looks like 20 million people.
I will the niners didnt come back and beat the giants this year cause our offense was really clicking and i think the giants would have played the bucs better then oakland. Collins is very underrated and is one of the few QBS who has an arm and likes to throw downfield, and we had dixon back and shockey and toomar were peaking tiki has always been great oh man i would have loved to watch that game.
GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
