Who's your Superbowl Pick?
I want to hear what teams u guys are picking for the big game before i start hearing "I was with that team back at game 1" and all that other stuff about how u knew who was gonna win. I gotta take the Raidaaaaazzzz this year.

Well looks like Miami can't win the Superbowl if there not even in the playoffs. I really thought they'd make it this year, they had a promising team. If one of the mods could take Miami off the poll and throw the NY Jets in there, much would be appreciated.

The Raiders are going to be tough to beat but then again, I thought they were going all the way last year.
BTW Patriots fans--- It was a fumble!

A fumble it was, but the Raiders lost, period. The Patriots still had to kick to tie and then win in overtime. The game plan to defeat the Raiders still stands this year: keep the ball out of Gannon's hands (the Patriots had the ball 40 min. in the 16-13 ot win). That said the Raiders still look like the team to beat as long as they don't turn it over and can keep the offense on the field for 30 minutes. On the NFC side Philly looks like the team to beat (as long as Mcnabb is healthy) and Tampa could surprise but they have to beat Philly. Your poll left off Indy and Cleveland even though they are a long shot. Additionally, you should edit and remove Miami and NE unless you are just an eternal optimist. As much as I hate them the Raiders beat Philly in a repeat of the 1980 match-up.

Oc, the problem is that u only can put 10 choices in a poll. But i see your point, i was dumb and decided to post a day before the playoffs were finalized and i thought i had the playoffs figured out. And of course Miami and NE didn't end up making it. Since i'm not a mod i can't edit it now, but i think i still have all the top picks except for the jets.
The one thing i still don't understand about offenses is why ball control is so important. I know its nice to bang up on defenses and wear em down, but when u see the rams the last couple years they barely had any control time but still won games plus the big one. Maybe someone can clear this up for me.

Saboudian, you have fallen into the trap. Keep in mind that teams who average over 30pts per game typically have the ball 30min plus. The Rams are no exception. Yes, in the last couple of years they have a had a big play offense but keep in mind why receivers make big plays: a good running game, period. Two words, Marshall Faulk. Beating the Rams in the last couple of years was to keep their offense off the field i.e. time of possession. The same formula will be applied to beat the Raiders but the problems is to keep the offense off the field your offense has to run the ball, and run it well. The Raiders defense will prevent that. For as good as St Louis was offensively, their defense stopped a lot of drives on third down and gave it back to their offense. Time of possession is critical. Watch the winning teams over the weekend and I can almost guarentee that time of possession will be part of the winning formula. Can you win without it?? Absolutely, but the odds say the team who grinds it out and holds the ball has an advantage.

I can't believe Denver Bronco's sucked so bad. Poor Shannon Sharpe, he's a jacked mofo too. I hope he doesn't retire. But I'm going with Oakland Raiders this year.

I'm goin' for the Raiders, their offense can't be stopped, and they're playing well defensively. I would love to see Rice get another ring.

Yes it will... Not a damn thing I can say except my team got Bitch Slapped....
Congrats to the Bucs and Philly probably should have offered the head coaching job to Jon Grudden when he was in town... He coached one hell of a game...

I dont care. As long as they have good commercials and I get to play football in the street during half time, I could care less.
We have a rematch iwith all the kids on the street against all the old timers. Little fukcers are fast but we have a few fat old guys for our rushers. Theyre just lucky it is tag and not tackle.
