They sacrificed pitching and a great utility player to get Arod. Vasquez is good, but unproven. Brown is so old that he could be out at any time. They lost wells, clemmens, and petit, who were like 27-4 combined in the post season. Soriano was the only player on that team that i respected, and i'm glad to see he's left it. The man can run, and i've seen countless games where he's made big plays. Sure, now they have Arod, but the yanks still have manny, who is almost as good a hitter.
Sox will have them. This is the year.

Wait this season.. Yankees WILL WIN the East again !! like always and go to the world series.. Wait and see.. Bronx bombers will score average of 4 , 5 runs or more a game.. enough runs for the pitchers to be compatable.. If you guys check the stats ALL THE YANKEE PITCHERS ARE ABOVE .500 WIN AVERAGE.. With the best closer in Baseball..

i don't know about other yankees fans, but i don't really care that much about boston, how can you call it a rivalry when we win all the time? it's a rivalry on their part, i guess

Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

who really cares..lol. and i dont see the big deal about arod, his starts arnt that superior to any top player in baseball, so why is he the stand out? i dont see the deal, and hopefully, soon we can just get rid of baseball, isnt TV boring enough without that junk...LOL

MANNY IS BY FAR AND AWAY A BETTER HITTER THAN A-ROD, He is the Number 1 top ranking right handed bat in the MLB.
Boston blows the yankess away in starting pitching. Jeter will be traded eventually for big game pitching. He is the only player they can afford to lose and get big game pitching for.
When I compare projected lineups between the two teams the yanks are only slighty better. It all comes down to who will have the better 6,7,8 spot. I think the Yankees win there. Boston has a better 12345
If I owned the Devil Rays i would send suicide bombers to the bronx. Its unfair what the yankees and Redsox do to that division. ( and i am a sox fan)

ok, if the yanks dont beat the MARLINS this year, there's no hope for them, they try every year to buy championships, now having the best player in bb, have no excuse not to win,um wait, they lost 2 hall of fame pitchers last year and gained a ex marlin world series winner wash up (kevin brown)!
