left knee pain: doctor update

its been a couple of days and the pain and weakness hasn't gone away yet so i went to my orthopedist yesterday. im getting an mri done 2day but the doc said after his examination and feeling my knee for pain that it may be something wrong with my meniscus. Anybody else have anything wrong with meniscus tears or anything otherwise with meniscus problems? If so was there inflammation or some indication of a serious problems which led to surgery? Im just trying to get an idea of my possible level of injury based on pain vs inflammation and other people's experiences. Thanks. any imput would be helpful.

mri will show if you need surg not. hopefully it can be scoped as an outpt, home that day and walking w/in a few days. rehab is gonna depend on you
