Finastride info?

My mate is a natty and using Finastride as a preventative measure to MPB...

Can anyone with the knowledge share as much info as possible with me...

Is it effective?

Possitives?

Negatives?

Dangers?

Effective dosages?


Any info plz guys....

Bloodwork... Can one have BW done to see if it is actually doing what it is supposed to do...

Well, there is a lot of info out there. There are definitely some side effects that happen to people (supposedly it's a very low number).

I've been on it for four, almost five months and have noticed increased hair on my back (didn't used to have any), oily skin and some acne (didn't used to have any), and also a little thicker hair in the crown area.

I am seeing one of the more respected FUE doctors in the area (going to do an FUE "test run" at the end of the month and he suggested I do Fin and rogaine for a while to see if/when it helped. He also told me that hair growth is like a three to four month process that recycles and that I should give it a full year before deciding what to do. He said taking fin gives your hair "time to breath."

IMHO (and obviously I am not a doctor), it's worth it. It will stop your hair loss and give you time to decide what to do. I wish I would have started five years ago. My thinning and miniaturization was a lot further along that I thought. Now I have to spend 20 or 30 grand to get a half-way decent hairline.
