anybody like using the smith machine
used it today my gym was full... I never workout on sundays, but with tuesday christmas... I used the smith machine for decline bench was strange.. also using db's are nice for incline press right.. I don't use the straight bar anymore the gym is dead @ 7:00 am... I have noticed since I workout alone I use db's most of the time.. I do try to switch every now and then,,,

I use the smith machine, it has it's place in the gym. I don't use it all the time, it should be used with the same variety as everything else I think.

^^^Agreed. It has it's place but it's not to be used as a crutch.

I do it when I don't have a spotter and trying either a heavy weight or doing falure sets.
Shouldn't be your main focus though. Most smith machines are counter balanced and you also don't work as many accessory muscles
