    Workout Help - Suggestions Welcome!

Let me begin by saying, please don't flame - I'm just looking for some advice!

I just got out of the Army, which left me with several medical issues that make it difficult to exercise on a regular basis without getting head-splitting migraines. I've been trying to keep a steady workout routine ever since, but it's been difficult. I've always been in good shape, but ever since this injury occurred I've been slowly gaining weight, while feeling weaker over time. Obviously I'd like to gain some muscle back and lose some weight, but I can't work out for too long or exert myself too much without getting migraines.

And yes, I've been researching myself, I'd just like to get an idea of what others think may help me.

    I'm male, 5' 10", 170, 22% BF.

Ok, sorry for the wrong category. But I was hoping to add something for fat loss/muscle gain, other than working out, since that on its own doesn't work for me. Not sure exactly what I should be looking at.

i think we need more info in what makes you ill, and if your injuries prohibit you from doing certain exercises.

Sorry, didn't realize I forgot that. I was wounded in Iraq by multiple bombs exploding in close proximity to me. All the shrapnel injuries have healed just fine, but unfortunately I'm left with severe headaches. It's called traumatic brain injury, or post-concussive syndrome. I have the migraines on a regular basis, but especially with physical exertion. I can work through them to an extent, but some days are better or worse than others.
