    Best AB workouts?

    Hey guys - I been running a diet for 6 weeks at roughly 3700cal/480pro/230carb/90fat .. I'd say I'm packing on lean muscle through my eyes.. since I've been dieting these 6-7 weeks without cheating and no drugs/alcohol .. I notice my abs getting more and more defined every week. However, abs are controversial - people say you can work them everyday/other day and some say to train it once/twice a week like its a regular body part. I'm currently following the Pendulum Bodybuilding Workout -in 2nd week- posted in the sticky - and just wanted to get some veterans opinions on the abs. What workouts are best ? regular crunches..medicine ball crunches.. machine crunches..? thanks

    Unhappy

    I treat abs like anyother muscle I train them twice week max.
    Train them how you want them to grow eg you want flat slender abs higher reps low resistance, chunky muscular low rep heavy resistance (sit ups holding plates).

    I'm going for the chunky muscular abs so his is my routine

    4 sets hanging leg raises (really controlled not using my hip flexors to do all the work)
    3 sets abdominal crunch machine 8,8,6
    2-3 sets with rope attatched to pulley knelt down and bringing the rope down with my abs. (shitty description but not sure of the correct name) 10,8,8

    Get an ab wheel and use it to do a move similiar to a dive bomber pushup. Do as many reps as you can. Only work 1-2x EW.
