    Deadlifts with trap bar?

Tried them today for the first time, must admit i loved them! It feels way more natural for me,

Who else does them? Do u feel they are just as beneficial as normal straight bar deadlifts? What about for shrugs aswell?

    Really thinkn about buying one

I prefer the way its held when deadlifting. Rather have my hands on my sides instead of infront of me.

If you liked the trap bar then keep using it. Do both regular DL and with the trap bar. Variation is good to help hit the muscles from a different angle and to keep your mind fresh by not doing the same thing over and over.

Agreed....variation is so important. I think the trap bar can help out moving heavier weight much like a Hatfield squat. Make sure you use it with the handles down.

Tar bar w/handles down on leg day. Prefer it to a hack squat or squat press.

The trap bar deadlift is a decent mix of a squat and a deadlift. Like a straight ban dead from the floor, a great many people can't squat legitimately without a few weeks of readiness either. At the same time its the extremely uncommon hereditary loner who can't do a really gorgeous trap bar deadlift inside their first month of endeavoring to do as such.

love using the trap/hex bar for deadlift on leg day to emphasize the quads...its a great tool to vary your workouts...that said its also wise to still do barbell deads cus that's more for the back so don't cut them out completely...but I agree its pretty fun doing things differently sometimes as variety helps keep things fresh...

trap bars basically put the center of gravity back farther instead of in front of you making you use more legs than back and glutes. If that's what you're working towards then trap bars are awesome.
