My first board was Triedia! I was a mod there too, like.....a billion years ago...that place was like the wild west...totally unsafe, open sources galore, etc.....one of the first boards around, and one of the biggest (10K members, 3-4 years ago).

To this day I don't know what "Triedia" means....

Yea what a joke that board was. I think I was made a Mod there, I can't be sure. But while the board was a joke its rumoured the kid who launched it sold it to Prolabs for a pack of money.

Two crazy bastards I remember from there was MAY1010 and DcupSheepNipples.

this board IS great

the problem with the other boards is that they have either become too commercialized, have a vulgar base, or they just don't have the resources needed for a GREAT board

some of them were really good, but now lacking

I post on one other board regularly.. and well the quality was poor.. alot of chatting and less about fitness.. and quite a bit of jelously

It's the net who cares what one girl looks like etc. but some women get really upset

i think there are a lot of boards popping up nowadays. a lot of them are destined for failure.

however, i think a lot of them have found a nice little niche in our society. certain boards offer a different feel, a smaller family type atmosphere, or have something different to offer (research, legal and media advocacy, etc).

that being said...AR definitely has its merits, and i'd say it's the best of the "big" boards. i felt that AR was a better place 2 years ago than it is now...but as i said, it's still one of the best out there.
