Darling, get cast iron next time. They last forever. I have a big one, with two handles, that my Grandmother (RIP) got for a 10th wedding anniversary gift. If you take care of them, stuff doesn't stick, and they heat up nice and even, not like those cheesy little aluminum or stainless things. And those teflon coated abominations? Abominable! The stuff scratches off and you end up with little bits in your food. Also you can't heat them up high enough to properly char the outside of a medium-rare steak. Only cast iron can take that kind of heat and still not stick too badly. Cast iron has enduring class and value. Don't buy cheap garbage. Start another thread if you want tips on caring for cast iron cookware.

And stay away from ALL aluminum cookware, Girlfriend! A study a few years ago found a statistical association between the use of aluminum and alzheimer's. Maybe it is just because only deranged people waste their money on aluminum, or maybe the aluminum gets them that way... who knows. Stainless for pots and saucepans, cast iron for griddles, skillets, and comals. Do the right thing.

    Love
    Anna

Got a set of those from grandma too They are simply amazing.

It's a bit of work to season a new cast iron pot or pan, and they weigh a TON, but they cook SO WELL.

    Makin me hungry now... grr!
