Wish I could help. If it wasn't so late I'd call a friend that got me out of this. Made me a nervous wreck. Good luck!

It is making you slow because people are downloading off your files. Find the little icon (K) on your tool bar and right click on it. Then just close it and your computer will come back to life or at least mine did. By the way I just loaded last week and the same thing happened and this worked so I hope it works for you.

If u uninstall kazaa, it will not get rid of the ad-ware and spy-ware installed, it will only remove kazaa. Go to www.cnet.com download a program called ad-aware---which is a program that searches for files linked to ad-ware and spy-ware. I had a buddy run this program after using kazaa for a week, it found 150+ files related to spy/ad ware software. It will also give you the ability to remove the files and registry entries. Hope this helps.

There is a version out there called Kazaa lite. It was designed without the spyware added in to its program. Not real sure where u could download a copy because a friend gave me mine.

Go to your Control Panel, go to add/remove programs, you can uninstall Kazaa from there.

You may want to check out Ad-Aware as suggested above.

To find Kazaa lite, just go to www.google.com and search for Kazaa lite. It should be readily available.

www.kazaalite.com is their website, but I believe it's been down for awhile.

Personally, I think there are far too many programs that contain viruses and crap. But if have have virus protection software then it should be a little better.

Install ad-ware and run the program weekly. Also go to astalavista.com and download the crack for kazaa v2 or earlier. It gets rid of all those stupid pop ups and the ads at the bottom left of the screen. I have no problems now

I think i got it all fixed guys. When i tried to uninstall it and it wouldn't let me. Said something about files are in use somewhere else.
That ad-ware program worked well though.
Thanks for your help once again.
