Bronson (The Movie)
Any of you guys got round to seeing this? Saw it a coupla days ago and I thought it was ace. Tom Hardy was excellent as Charles Bronson, Britains most dangerous criminal. I particularly liked the "artistic Clockwork Orange" style of it.

Apparantly he put on 3 stone (42 pounds) to play the part of Bronson, the traps on this guy were beastly. Apparantly he got in shape for Bronson in just 5 weeks by consuming 4000 calories a day and various weight lifting. Apparantly he was also doing 2000 + pressups a day, which is what the real Charles Bronson does do. Below are some before and after pics of Tom Hardy. The transformation is pretty impressive in just 5 weeks.Last edited by Flagg; 07-12-2009 at 06:45 PM.

I like the guy as well, am reading a Biography on him at the moment. Im at the point where he's just taken some Iranian prisoners hostage (one bumped into him) and his demands are a cup of tea and a helicoptor to Cuba.
Wow, you got a mate who visits him? Have you ever visited him Madd Matt? I wonder what he's like. Very cordial and genuine I hear, as long as you dont piss him off.

Yeah i think he even mentions my friend in his book, his name is Eric Alison. Eric now writes for the Gaurdian news paper, all to do with prisons, he also wrote the Strangeways riot book. I was locked up for three years with Eric.
No ive never met him but i have so much respect for him, a sad shame he has wasted so much of his life in prison...

I'll keep an eye out for your mate as The Guardian is the only paper I read these days.
Yeah, it's unreal that he's been locked away for 30 years + now with 27 of those in solitary. It's true what he says when you get these paedos or child killers that get 7 years, a cell with a TV and a Wii and he is in a what could only be deemed as a coffin for 23 hours a day. "That's not life, that's just existing".
He's even stated himself that as hard as he is, even he couldnt beat the system. I think it's time to give the man a chance. You know I think he should seriously consider a career in powerlifting or bodybuilding if he gets out. I mean, the size and strength of the guy is incredible if you consider that he only gets prison food and has little to no equipment. Imagine him with access to proper weights.

I liked Charles Bronson in the "Death Wish" series during the 70's.
