I bought a new Swiss K31
I just purchased a 1942 Swiss K 31 rifle. Its a straight pull bolt action chambered in 7.5x55mm, the quality is incredible. it is probably one of the finest military rifles manufactured. During ww2 the swiss maintained neutrality so these rifles were never fired in combat, and the swiss soldiers were responsible to damage caused by negligence so the rifle is mint. I removed the butt plate and there was a tag with the original soldiers name, services number, date of birth and date of issue. Very cool. I cant wait to fire it.
Heres what it looks like, not mine but the same model. Any body own one of these or get any new firearms lately?

How much was it? and where is a good place that I could buy one?
Right now, I am saving for an FN Herstal FNX-45. My uncle got one last week and I took it to the range, its an incredible gun. IMO, its the 21st century Springfield 1911....It holds 15+1 in .45. The equivalent capacity of a Beretta M9, with the kinetics of the .45 ACP round, and I would say they are comparable in weight since its synthetic. They're about $750 for a normal one, and $1100 for the tactical one in FDE.

It was $300 plus tax. Right now a live in Canada and they come in to local gun stores on a case by case bases. Only 500k of them were produced so they are a lot less abundant than the garands and moisins. If i lived in the Usa i would buy a Galil but they are prohibited up here

I actually saw these about 2 months ago, actually more and I bought 2 lol. There was 2 left, I said no i'm not letting someone else have one.
I'm in Canada too- Did you get it at SFRC? I paid 280$ I think. Really nice rifle and good condition. And crazy accurate with the 5 shots I took haha.
