I have the worst job. I drive around and suck up all the crap in the porta potties that the construction sites have. I have a big vacume, hose, and truck and drive up to each one and stick the vacume in the toilet and let it suck away. I then proceed to clean all the disgarded toilet paper and crap resin on the floor and place a happy little pink deodorizor in the piss pot. I love my job.

Listen!!! My friend had the worst job ever...He worked at a hog farm and worked in the breading area. When the male pig mounted the female he had to help put the pigs dick in. Now is that the worst or what??? He said it smells really freaking bad and even if you wear gloves it gets all over you. Said it doesn't was off either. Just imagine 8+ hours of that every day...I would shoot myself!

I've had many jobs, but the worst one I had was store detective. We were hired by grocery stores to help curb shoplifting.

That in itself wasn't too bad, except that 80% of the people we had to arrest were poor single mothers on minimum wage (which you cannot live on here) stealing a can of spam or a box of mac'n'cheese to feed their kids... talk about depressing.

The remaining 20% we enjoyed busting... I'd say 10% was kids shoplifting for fun, and the remaining 10% were (believe it or not!) weightlifters stealing steaks or chicken breasts for protein.

I did not last long at that job... good thing it was a student summer job... I would not want to do it longer than that.

yes i do mean stress on the body....moving furniture for 40-60 hours a week and then try lifting will put a toll on the body. but i dont know whats worst, that or the mental stress you just described..bet you love your boss huh

I think maybe you tie with the guy that works the lost luggage counter at the airport.

Not one customer you help at that counter is happy.

Hey Big, I know exactly how you feel. For 3 summers during high school I moved furniture. It was routine to work 70-80 hour weeks. I don't know how I made it through.

One day I had a temp job from one of those agencies. I show up and all we did the entire day was spray degreaser on barrels that once had oil in them. Paper towls and putty knives with degreaser. It started to rain and the guy didnt come back yet so we just stood under a roof trying to stay dry. A couple guys left.
That was the worst job I had and it lasted a day. I feel like a loser for even being in a position where I would have done that.

I like my job but I always think about what jobs would be the worst to have.

I think the worst job in the world would be cutting the grass in the middle of the inerstate. You never get any since of acomplishment because it is never done.

Had a job once as a Dallas dogcatcher . . . spent 6 months catching 'em, 6 months putting the "surplus animals" to sleep. Killed 'em.
Threw up every night at work for the first couple weeks . . . wasn't easy when they brought me my first box of 3 week old puppies and I had to stick 'em with sodium pentabarbatol.
Sometimes would get dogs that had been run over by a car, wasn't dead yet, but had no tags, no idea who he belonged to, so we'd kill them right away. Nasty.
We (me and 2 other guys) resorted to "gallows humor" to cope with the hopelessness of the situation . . . in the summer most of the stray dogs came in covered with grape-sized gray ticks all over them. The ticks would fall off in the PTS (Put To Sleep) room and crawl up the cinderblock walls, and we'd pick 'em off (with those cheap plastic gloves) and squish 'em at each other . . .
Yah, that was the nastiest job I ever had . . .

Which prompts this comment: Spay or neuter your pets! Wouldn't hurt to get yourselves spayed or neutered while you were at it . . .

We'd take the dead dogs and throw 'em on the back end of a pickup with a liftbed and drive 'em to the city dump. One time the electrical switch that turned on motor to the liftbed shorted and the dxxx thing went up close to the downtown mixmaster at 6 am. Dogs fell out all over the road. I pulled over, and me and another guy went back and picked 'em up, passing motorists looked at us with shock as we swung the big Shepherds and boxers back up onto the truck. I fiddled with the switch and got it down, got to the dump and back to the shelter. Ugh.
When the pickup went in for service, we'd have to put the dead dogs in a van that had a big cage subdivided into smaller cages. Wasn't much fun taking the dead animals out (after rigormortis set in) in the early am, in winter, and at the far end of the city dump in masses of mud. Ya had to turn and twist the bigger dogs to get 'em out, and they were oozing some sort of nasty ooze by then, and it was awful.

One time I had to answer a barking dog complaint at 3 am, I woke up the owners and wrote 'em a ticket, told 'em to quiet the dog. The next day the shelter manager called me in and said, "The people you saw last night swear you tried to break into their house and rape their daughter. Any truth to that?"
    "No," I replied.
"I didn't think so," and that was that . . . but there are crazy people out there.
I picked up one St. Bernard from some people that said they didn't want him anymore and would the City please come out and pick him up. I knocked on their door, got a release signed, they said the dog was in the back. I trudged back there, and the poor dog was laying on his side, barely breathing, obviously sick. I put my arms around his legs and picked him up, and as I did, I could see open sores on his back with maggots crawling around in 'em. I put the dog down, knocked on the door again and asked "How long has this dog been like this?" They said, "He was just fine yesterday . . ." I went to the truck radio, called in to see what I could do about filing an animal cruelty complaint, and they said, Nothing, 'cause the max fine was $200 and they didn't really have the resources to follow up. So, I picked the dog again, maggots and all, put 'em on the truck, and by the time I got to the shelter, the poor thing was dead. When I went inside, they sent me home to wash up 'cause the ooze from the St. Bernard made me stink worse than a thousand menstruating Pakastani whores.

    Oh yah . . . nasty job.
Funny thing, though . . . 80% of the folks who worked there were Capricorns. Three of us were born on Xmas day. Just one of those things, I guess . . .

I was fresh out of the USAF, took the job because the Dallas Police at that time wouldn't hire gay people, and I had been working with police dogs, and figured I could at least be an "Animal Control Officer." Found out later I was just a dogcatcher, lol.
Pay? Well, it was ok for a 21 year old . . . plus I was going to school on the GI Bill and that paid me something like $100 a month over my expenses, so it was ok at the time.
No way would I do it again, though.
Used to get crabs (from the dogs, and no, not because of THAT) all the time, too. Got prescriptions for Qwell lotion about once a month. Got so I was a regular customer at the KMart pharmacy . . . I'd saunter up to the window and chortle, "Hey, Mel, I need some more crab lotion." Yah, I was shameless . . .
