Drinking while on gear
If you absolutely had to drink alcohol while on cycle, what would be the best from a liver/empty calorie standpoint? Red wine would be my guess but I may be way off.

well if your a tour guide at Anheuser bush here in st. louis, you usually have a cup of beer with everybody else when that part of the tour comes up, BUT you dont have to. Man that would be a cool job, but other than that, i dont think theres a job out there
i think drinking is always a choice, i guess your going to have decide how bad you want your goals!

If im in a situation where it'd be awkward if i didnt, i'll just take a few sips to keep it social, thats it. A glass of wine isnt going to do much, its important just to not get completely sloshed on cycle.

Yeah, red wine once in a while would be okay I suppose, but I'm not a drinker anyhow.
I just hate how it makes my body feel. Not good at all for me.
I had a beer a few months ago, and felt it for days.......(a 40 actually).
I used to drink a bit, but gave it up and feel a ton better all around.

I knew it was a hypothetical question, but I was trying to find out the REAL reason for asking.

I am in two weddings this summer that will host many drunk people to say the least. Maybe, subconsciously, that had something to do with the question.

No - seriously I think most people would say liver-wise you are "alright" while on injectables vs. orals if drinking, but then you get that big, strong, fat guy look that the chicks dig. I confess to drinking while on a straight injectable test only cycle and it really does not affect the way I feel or train (my liver is of Irish descent) but I do have to bust my ass every morning doing 45-60 minutes of cardio. I still do not have great abs but they are slowly coming along. I would call them "six pack" abs, but more like "Foster's oil can" abs.
I keep plugging away though.

I scanned through and i dont think anyone really touched base.
heres a qoute from
http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/reporter/?ID=597
Dr. William E. Russell, associate professor of Pediatrics and Cell Biology, has been awarded a three-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to investigate liver development, including the organ's unique ability to regenerate itself.
"Unlike all other internal organs in mammals, the liver has a remarkable capacity to regenerate itself," Russell said. "After a lobe of the liver has been surgically removed or is injured by drugs, chemicals or viruses, the various cells that make up the liver proliferate rapidly to replace the lost tissue. Remarkably, this compensatory hyperplasia terminates precisely after restoring the liver to exactly its original size."
swole.. your arms are bigger than your head! thats awesome!!!

Drinking once on a cycle wont kill u, especially if u take drink or two. Red wine I believe is no more healthier than any alcohol liver wise. Red wine has (was it tannins) that may cause fewer cardiac problems. The French paradox: They drink a lot of wine but have very few heart attacks etc.. (but they have a whole bunch of liver cirrhosis cases)
