expired deca
I was given a bottle of deca the other day which is great and all, but it expired in 2010. Is it pretty much worthless, or still usable?

very worthless. the hormones degrade over time.
but more importantly, what did you think you were going to do with one bottle of deca ?

just wanted to make sure, there are plenty of ppl on here that think they can just take whatever they have lying around and will get huge overnight
but as stated, it has an expiry date for a reason. it's no good. Also, forgot to mention, the oil can also go rancid. Inject that for a guaranteed infection.

i respect your input as you help a lot on this board, but i disagree with you on this. the hormones do degrade with time, and the oil can potentially go rancid. why would you risk it? we're not talk about it expiring in Dec 2011. It expired some time in 2010. I would not use it, so that was the advice i shared.

the potency will change beause it is older, however a guaranteed infection is a little extreme. (as long as it is stored right)
I agree with gixxer on the vet or human I would run it.

I didnt disagree that it may lose potency, but this is minimal and the risk of infection from it becoming rancid is tiny
You stated its worthless, it isnt
I am saying this because I have personally ran 2 year old UGL test after being assured it is fine by numerous peopl;e more knowledgeable than myself, and yes I was fine and it it lost any of its potientcy than it was fractional because I didnt notice any difference from any other types I had used in past
My reaction may of been a little harsh I apologise, you arent the problm at all, they is numerous people spouting b.s the last few days and it pissed me off, you werent one of them
Again I apologise

Thank you. And I apologize as well, I was being very extreme. It's unlikely what I said will happen, but it could and I error on the side of caution. Of course, I'm also the type of person that throws away my milk 3 days BEFORE the expiry date. LOL

Just a thought but if it looks ok and not cloudy or floaties or anything draw a little out and see if it smells normal or weird
Because human grade seems to have higher ba content than ugl stuff i would do a small test pin ie .25ml into a shoulder and see how you react if it doesnt get swollen itchy or red/etc g2g
However if your arm turns black and falls off i acept no responsibilty
