self im glute injection/needle size/scared to poke/soreness
Hey good morning. ..
First off anyone see pain and game. I'm stoked to watch it. Gonna see it tomorrow by myself, little me time lol.
Oooook. So self im it's super hard to to for me. If I do it its sore for days if buddy does it. Its sore less.
He usually pokes more in middle.
Where do you guys poke in glute ???
Watched doc, you tube video saying to go in upper quadrant. Which is upper part of glute near out side..
I did this the other day easier angle and seems less painful few days after...
Needle size!!?? Guy recently met said 1in is to short. And aside from moving while being injected. 1in does not go in far enough and is why it hurts cause of settling and some other stuff. so to use 1.5 in always... annnyyy thoughts? ?
I'm still nervous and scared to poke myself takes like 20 min to actually do it... any help to just man up easier lol... and how to you poke dart it in or get it close and just push???

Divide your A$$ cheek into fourths. It's the upper and outer quadrant that you should be pinning. 1in will work unless you're a bit higher bf% then use a 1 1/2. I use 1" all around. Used to use 1.5 for glutes but it's not necessary.
I find its more painful doing it slowly, I like to jab it quickly. Think darts? Then if its not deep enough you can slowly push. It doesn't really hurt, it's just mental

BF determines whether you need 1 or 1 1/2". If I use 1" I just make sure to bury it.
Put your hand on hip so finger touches your big bony hip bone. Pin just under thumb. Personally I enter slow and push. Keep a steady hand.

I think you should try shooting in your quads. You can sit down, relax and easily use both your hands to aspirate . I only inject in my quads if no is available to help and never had a problem.

I use quads too. Have not tried glute yet.

I honestly feel like my legs are to small for quad shots. I guess I can always try it and see what happens. Def need to know exact spot though. Visually see it not just pics.

How can they be too small? As long as the needle is in muscle what's the problem? Just use a 1.5" needle and stick it 3/4 in. Don't worry you will never surpass the muscle and hit your bone lol.

Quad injections are a bit sketchy to me. I like glutes and delts. The only time I ever pinned quads te whole muscle jumped involuntarily. Scared the crap out of me lol

I personally like glutes, 4h quadrant 2" below the hip bone. I've injected all over my body and I find my glutes to be least painful.

Hey i know im probably not one to take advice from because i have only injected once into my glute i was very scared to do it and didnt really care much for needles at the best of times but what i ended up doing was cleaning an area putting the tip where i wanted to inject looked away relaxed and pushed in and it worked well for me

23G 1 for quads and delts (best route to self inject, no pain) 23 1.5 for glute (hardest part to self inject/painful)

Hahhahah this is a funny thread, the quads are by far the easiest to self inject. Why are so many people saying its sketchy it is as easy and safe as can be.Plus you can just sit down and relax while you do it.

Just to experiment, I've injected into biceps, triceps, delts, quads, glutes, even calves once! Quads freaked me out because of the same twitch/spasm type of reaction previously mentioned. Triceps and delts are by far the easiest for me. Biceps took me the longest to get up the nerve!

How would a 25g work with test in the glutes? I have been using 22g and would like to try something smaller.

I'm new to pinning and I do it with a 25g in the glute, takes a while to push through but I guess being slow is a good thing for first few jabs

Depends on your gear. I've had some that was really hard to push through 25g. What I've got now is easy, eo thins it out

I use a 25g and have even used a 27 before, dont even feel the needle go in with a 27 just takes a bit longer to inject. My favorite spot is the delts. You will find what is right for you and be comfortable in no time. Best of luck!

I get all my syringes from Wal-Mart and never a problem. No questions asked.
I want to tell you that I have used a 25, 23, 22 all for oil and as well of course for water.
For oil a 25 G is slow, very slow and a little difficult but as was said take your time. You will see how slow when you load. Remember the oil will only flow at a maximum speed so push hard an constant and it will l flow. If you push harder and harder it will not flow any faster. Then you might shake or jerk or just plain fvck up. ...crazy mike

I am not a big glute fan bc My job always has me leaning over a machine or lying underneath it. I usually go on the top or side of my quads so I have no problem at work crawling around or laying in bed at night, or even on a flat bench at the gym when I do the benchpress. I can keep my mind on the task on hand instead of the little nagging pain during my workouts. IMO
