    Question help system failure

    help bros,

    i just bought this laptop, im trying to install windows xp. now my question is that when i attempt to run windows xp, it says sytem failure. i tried reformating my hard drive, also installing it while windows was 98 was in operation, i just f ' n confussed. bros can you help me? also this computer is a pentium 3 but when i do a check it show it as a pentium 2, is it true that windows just doesnt recognize the system? thanks bros

    well at what point does the sys failure happen?, during bootup or while logging into windows? you may have a screwed hard drive. how much memory does it have?

    6 gig of memory 512mb 800mhz pentium 3, it happens when i try running window xp

    you may have a corrupt installation disk, ive changed discs before and it works fine.

    on another note, 6gig hdd... is there really any point installing xp?
