    bulking up starting calories

    i am 6 feet, 194lbs (not sure of bf,abs quite good so maybe 10%?)and going to start bulking again in a couple of weeks but need help getting a diet together.have never counted calories before but am going to start.i want to bulk up cleanly.used the eating calculator at johnberardi.com to give me a starting point and it come up with 4684 calories.this seems a bit high but i am not sure any advice please?
    when i get a starting point i will work out my diet and post it.

    When I'm bulking, I usually go for about 6000 cals per day. It depends on your metabolism, your current size, muscle load you're already carrying, etc. That number sounds about right to me.

    You too? ****, I have a hard enough time with 3600 cals cleanly, I can't imagine 2400 more.

    I drink Nepro when I'm bulking. If I drink four cans a day, that's an extra 2000 cals. from a good medical dietary suppliment.

    is that pretty clean calories?

    I don't go crazy about making sure everything I eat is perfectly clean, but it's pretty clean. The meal replacement I drink is a medical meal replacement so it has a lot of calories and it's pretty clean. Four cans of that gives an extra 2000 cals per day. One small can after breakfast, one small can after lunch, one small can after dinner and one small can before bed.

    I don't weight a lot, my body just breaks down real fast. My body breaks down muscle really fast and I have a very fast metabolism. I can be on a 4000 cal per day diet and I'll lose weight slowly and steadily. 5000 cals and I'll maintain. I need 6000 cals per day in order to gain. I've been doing a lot better since I've been taking Juven. Now my muscle doesn't break down as fast. I just started taking an imuno-suppresant about a month ago (one that also tends to break down muscle) and I've still been doing okay. I haven't been working out all that much lately, but I'm still making gains on the little bit that I am doing.
