    Cutting Questions

    I read the cutting Sticky and have 2 questions. Can I use Olive Oil instead of the Flack Seed Oil?? If not what is a good brand of Flack Seed Oil to buy. What is the point in eating dextrose before you work out, and what exactly is dextrose and where can you get it? I changed the sample diet just a little bit and I will be eating 326.5 g/of protein is that too much or to little if I weigh 215 lbs. And will I loose weight if I am consuming 2008 calories a day. Here is the diet, please send feedback

    Protein 1 scoop

    Protein Shake 2 scoops
    Flack seed Oil 1 tbsp

    3#
    Tuna 1 can (at least 10 oz)

    #4 (Pre Work Out)
    Protein 2 scoops
    (Dextrose)??

    #5 (Post Work Out)
    Chicken 12oz
    Brown Rice ¾ cup

    #6
    Protein 2 scoops

    flax is a better source of the omega's over olive oil... and as for dexstose... do search then is a crap loan of info on it....

    mistake

    bro,

    PWO is post work out shake....not preworkout. you have the protein with dextrose after you work out. PPWO is the chicken with rice...or post-post workout shake.

    Need either a slow burning low GI Carb here (oatmeal) or add fat...... it's a personal preferrence really.

    If you're using 2 scoops of whey than use 80g of dextrose...although dextrose ammounts really should be a person by person basis

    Thanks for the critique, I will be doing about 30 min of cardio mon,wed,fri. I also didn't know the differnce with the pwo and ppwo thanks for the insight, but what can I eat to get the dextrose? or do I need to buy it and take it as a supplement?

    buy dextrose

    you buy a bag of dextrose and simply add it to your protein shake. it's just a form of corn sugar, so most natural food stores have it...or local brewery stores etc.

    Hold up here, when cutting it is always best to do 45-1hr cardio 5-7 days a week and remember to stay within your target Heart Rate, use this formula to determine your target HR:

    220-age x .75= target HR

    I am 25 so mine is ex: 220-25=195 x .75=146

    I would also have some Glutamine before cardio to combat catabolism (breakdown of muscle tissue).

    nah

    there's glutamine in most protein powders, so if you're on a budget, there's no real need to waste the $$$ on additional glutamine. keep your protein levels up throughout the day and you'll be fine.

    However, if one wished to ingest pure glutmine before cardio, one would need pure glutamine. Protein powder is not indicative of pure glutamine.

    Yup......that is really the only time I use Glutamine. Other than that I rely in the peptides found in whey......I've never had a problem doing it that way.

    so

    so why not just drink your protein shake before cardio and get additional protein durign the day versus just taking glutamine? does taking the protein interfer with lipolysis?

    I am taking the Whey that has 110 calories, 3 carbs and 23 grams of potien per scoop and it also has 3870mg of Glutamine and Pre cursors, will this suffice the pre cardio requirments. It is called ON 100% Whey

    I would not take anything except pure Glutamine before cardio as its main purpose is to combat catabolism.
