Green tea & question on carbs
Hi im cutting right now on a strict diet my question is.. I drink green tea 3 times daily sometimes 4
1 green tea before cardio, just to have some energy ( just wake up heeh )
1 green tea at lunch Pro/fat meal
1green tea at dinner ( PPWO ) Pro/Carb meal
and maybe 1 green tea before bed... with my pro/fat meal
i just love the green tea it is ok to do this? it would affect in a negative way? tnx.
================================================== ========
In a cutting diet i should take in 3 meals consisting of carbs in a workout day right? those will be breakfast (1/2 cup of oatmeal ) / PWO ( dextrose ) / PPWO ( 1/2 cup of brown rice ) ?? and all the other meals shoul be protein / fat ?

Green tea is not a proven source of thermogenic, from medical studies anyways.
But has so much to offer that you should drink it for the rest of your life. Go to the chinese parlor if you have one near you and buy the leaf not the bags. Jasmine is my best but there are a lot more.
The antioxident profile on green tea is very amazing.
Father has cancer and has been told by is doctor to drink green tea it has helped him a lot get true is chimo treatements.
I drink at least 5-6 cups of green tea true out the day.

As Yannick said Green Tea has some amzing overall health boosting qualities....I don't think that those 3 cups perday will do anything in terms of a thermogenic response, but they will certainly not be harmful in any way. I add Green Tea to My EC stack pre cardio as well as pre-lunch. Kentnutrition.com has a great Green Tea extract as well!

Green tea has caffeine, which is thermogenic, so yes it does have a slight thermo effect. However, 1 cup usually contains about 60mg of caffeine, which is nowhere near the 240 mg of caffeine found in 1 cup of black coffee. Drink up though, as many people swear by green tea as an effective antioxidant.

It really all depends on you, I can drink esspresso before bed and go to sleep no problem but I know some people that can't get to sleep if they've had a coke or something.

I also drink green tea at night to relax, i would be very surprised if you add trouble sleeping, after all it doesn't have that much caffeine and much less then a cup of black coffee.
If you do have problems then cut the green tea around 3pm you should be ok.

This may sound odd but if i get tired of constantly making cups of tea, would it change the way my body used any of it of I opened up the tea bag and dumped the contants into a protein shake when I had one? I don't care about taste or texture, i mean strictly from a nutritional standpoint.

That's pretty crazt dude....I smoked tea when i was like 10 or so, you could try that, lol. They put green tea extract in capules so I suppose you could down it if you wanted to....Why not just brew up a huge pot, flavor it with splenda and have Iced Green Tea or hea it up if you want?

I could but if it didn't change anything I think I would just eat it to be honest. I hate waiting for water to boil.
