when i start a low carb diet the first week i lose 8lbs is that normal and second week i lose like 7-8 more .why do i lose weight so fast ,i read that you should only lose 1-4 lbs a week if you lose anymore its muscle .does that mean im loseing muscle

It is mainly water weight. Your muscle do not hold as much water due to the decrease in muscle glycogen. The first week is normal but the 7-8lb a week later is a little strange to me.

Pain's right, that second week is a bit worrysome.
