    Is protein the real answer????

    after a debate with a friend of mine who is a qualified dietician she said that recent studies are showing that high levels of carbohydrate intake are the key to muscle growth rather than high protein levels. i reject this totally and am wanting to find medical journals to prove that protein is the key to building muscle,does anyone know where i can find journals like this,
    i cannot lose this argument
    for the sake of bodybuilders everywhere help me out

    calories are the key to muscle growth with the right combination of protien carbs and fat, all must be taken into consideration, we suplement with protien shakes because usually we dont have much trouble taking in carbs or fats but a good source of protien is hard to find

    i would search online journal archives at a university library that has a good medical school to find the answer
