    first trt appointment

im going to see the specialist for the first time mid Jan in a hope to be officially placed on trt. i have been self medicating for 2yrs now, in the last 8mths my GP has been monitoring bloods for me.

im using an enthanate, prop and cyp blend (200mgs pw) atm and was wondering if a 14 day gap between my last injection and the appointment sufficient to show low test reading in the bloods he'll inevitably want to take? i want to be low so as he'll put me on trt (hopefully nebido) but i also dont want to feel like complete shit for an extended period.

Longer the better IMO but 14 days will see much suppression in all levels.

Agreed. Maybe you will want to go longer than 14 days if you really want to hit your natural low. I don't know as much as gdevine, but I know that 14 days off probably wouldn't drop me down to my normal low in the 200s if I was coming off 200mg/week.

also, should i explain ive been self administering for 24mths and that i know i def fvcked in the hope that he agrees and puts me on there and then. i do intend on saying ive used alot of gear and if i thought it would skip alot of BS testing blood levels etc id just come straight out with it.

or is it a given that most would want to see a low blood level?

You are gonna need to be straight with him about the self-medicating, if not he may want to do all sorts of additional testing to try to figure out why you are low T. Also, you are obviously "shut down" depending on what your T level is he is gonna be very suspicious about what you have been doing. I would think this would be the quickest route to getting what you want unless the Dr turns out to be like many which are discussed on this board.

I can't see any doctor giving it to you without seeing bloodwork. But I could be wrong.

yes i intend to be, i dont care about that, this is the UK and i dont have to worry about health ins etc. what i mean is, is it likely he could think, right you're def fvcked if you've been on tht long, heres your script. i mean im going to be completely straight on what ive used and how felt 2yrs ago when i came off my last cycle and how that led to me self medicating.

ive read up that the specialist im seeing is one of the pioneers of the nebido treatment.

I'm not sure why you would want to have your levels at rock bottom? Makes zero sense to me. Here's how I see it, go tell your doc exactly what you've been using on your own for the last 2 years and what your on at the moment of the tests, don't change anything about your dose, how will that help? If he is worth his salt he will read your blood panels and take into consideration what you take and write a prescription from there, he may not need to change a thing about your protocol. If he knows ANYTHING about TRT he will know that if you aren't injecting that your natural levels will literally be zero......thats a no brainer from a docs perspective, what is possibly gained from stopping your dose and testing low or at zero? Tell him everything up front and see what he wants you to do........pulling a fast one on your doc wont help you do anything except get a script based on false info.

he is appar one of the top guys in the UK, and one of the highlighters of the fact that men suffer from the condition of low test and need trt. my rationale of thinking was go in bottomed out so he'd think 'fvck, you are low'! and job done, nebido for life.
i fully intend to tell him what ive been up to. i was just worried that if i go in there with an in range reading that he might say, 'no proof that you need this'. ya get me?
i will also be saying that i will continue to do this on my own but id much rather be monitored and not be buying on the black market. make sense?

trust me, id much rather be taking my trt amount right up till the appointment because i know the feeling of low/no test and am in knots just thinking about going through that again

That's my point, if this guy knows his stuff he should be able to read your blood work while you are on your normal dose and easily go from there, just by telling him you self inject he should know that your natural production is in the can, no need to torture yourself by going off for 2 or 3 weeks. I would tell him all this beforehand and see what he wants you to do on test day. Sounds like you found someone who may be good at it so I would just talk with him and see what he wants.

    Good luck man.

i was actually at 150mgs pw for months but i started a cycle last week and nailed 1150mgs consisting of t400 and sust. i used the last of my test e so would have to use the t400 for a trt dose. i hadnt planned on getting the appointment this quick, its usually takes ages in N Ireland for these things

Gotcha i must have missed that. If you stay at 200 a week for the next 6 weeks your levels will be pretty close to were they were before you started the cycle. 14 days out from that you will be low but you might be in the low normal range.

im going to drop to 150mgs pw by the time the appoint comes up. my aim is to get on nebido and this guy was one of the UK docs that was all for this type of trt. so if the cards on the table approach works it doesnt particularly matter where 150mg, 200mg or even 300mg puts me because nebido is a 1000mg slow release injection 4-5 injections per year. zoning in cyp injections wont apply

If the man truly believes in helping people he will get you under his TRT protocol and away from your own self medication protocol. Sounds like he knows his stuff, can you call and discuss all this stuff before your appointment.....might help avoid confusion.

Hope this guy gets you going .

na, you cant really get in contact with these specialists where im from, just by appointment only. im just gona try the approach of telling him whats been and what ive been doing as a consequence for the past 2yrs and that i tried to come off and couldnt hack it. i can describe all the symptoms and know im shut down permanently, if it doesnt work then i'll have to go back in clean. its a matter of just getting everything legit and monitored, getting test to do it myself isnt a prob but id rather be not worrying if my supply could be bunk etc

Dec, is he going to test your E2 and other panels too?

If you took a 100mg shot on the 1st, your serum levels will definitely be low. My levels will go to baseline at 21-to-24 days. If you can just explain your circumstance like mentioned above, all the better for you, and you won't have to feel the crash.

From what I've found, It's all luck of the draw. Every doctor can be drastically different. Also, insurance matters. If you have insurance you will need to have a test that shows low T for them to cover it. Some docs require you to get blood work from them, some dont care. I've seen doctors refuse to treat people who explained that they were low T from running cycles, or, refused anything but the gell. I'm not sure that's even legal, but Ive seen it. Myself? I just walked into the doctors office with lab work I already had, and he prescribed me the test. Gave me 6 months work and said come back when I need more. I went back, and he bumped my dose to 300mgs/week without even seeing new bloodwork. If your doctor really knows his shit, he probably wont stone wall you, but he may try dropping your dose a bit. If he's decent, he'll understand that your levels are permanently screwed anyway.
