Casein Protein
First time to have a protein shake using Casein Protein. I have the ON chocolate. 1.5 scoops mixed with skim milk. Taste, smell and texture is the same as cake batter. I love cake batter, but NOT A GLASS FULL. I mix whey protein and drink it down quick... this stuff will take a while.

Try mixing it with water instead, it'll go down easier. Also, the only time you should really be taking Casein is before bed. You should be drinking Whey for pre workout and post workout shake.

I was drinking it right before bed.
BTW... the instructions on the container also say to drink in the morning, what's your guys thoughts on having a shake at about 8:30am if I workout at 9:15 or so? Right now I am eating the eggs and a bagel around 7:00am

Not sure if I would have a bagel, go for oats and egg whites.

i get my casein from cottage cheese.

Butt load of sugar in cottage cheese......As far as the casein in the morning, I would go with the whey instead, especially if your lifting in the morning. Your body is already in an extremely catabolic state when you wake up. You need something that will absorb quickly.... Also, switch it up, drink the whey at 7am and then have eggs and oats about 45 minutes before you lift.

A buddy of mine swears by casein, drinks one every night before bed. he just uses reg whey during the day though

Yeah I'm a big fan, it is expensive tho. I do all my cooking with it too (Protein bars, protein pudding, etc.) yummmmmmmmmy!

Probolic MRP 12 hour is good, It is very thick but has a good amount of aminos in it.
I use 2 scoops of MRP before bed.
PWO I use
2 scoops of whey,
3 tbl spoons of amino fuel,
1 scoop of vitargo,
1 tbl spoon of Glucosamine & Chondroitin
