    Any suggestions for PWO supplement?

    im going to corrados this weekend to buy some maltodextrin, dextrose if they have it. and mix it with some protein and a litttle (very little) splenda. i use to mix grape juice with frosted flakes but it tasted like ass.

    dextrose, whatever whey protein you like, and creatine....also although some bros on here dont like it i take glutamine too...i guess thats a lot but thats what i take

    do they have dextrose supplement, if so what name is it under. also how much dex do you use, I have heard 75-100gm?

    your PWO shake should be 2:1 carb : protein ratio. 1fast400.com has Dex.

    also exp. 1/2 cup of dex is 75 grams of carbs

    I was reading threads on maltodextrin and dextrose should I use both or just one.

    i use to use maltodextrin and it was good, but i heard dextrose is the best

    can anyone tell me what the serving size is for the 1fast400.com dextrose 2lb. or how much to take.

    also i thought and I could be wrong, that maltodextrin was more of a complex carb that broke down more slowly, and dextrose was a simple which entered the blood stream fast.
    would it be best to take a combo of both with protein for pwo??

    if i have read PWO material correctly i think you want the dextrose into system fast because it spikes insulin levals i believe. hope im right on this one

    dex is best yes. I have found no need for the malt. HERE is an example of my PWO shake. THIS IS NOT A BIBLE EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT

    2 sccops whey (44 grams protein)
    2 scoops dex (useing the whey scooper-75 grams of carbs)

    okay,
    after a minute of some reserch I have found, that it is best to use both maltodextrin and dextrose in a 50/50 mix, for example if you wanted 100gm total it would be 50gm malt and 50gm dex.
    to round it out with the 2:1 protein/carb ratio you would add in 50gms protein.

    1fast400 has both malt and dex, but im still confused on the serving size of there dex

    you want a 2:1 carb to protein mix, so if you take 25g of protein PWO you need 50g of lets say dextrose.

    r-ala is good stuff esp when cutting. It directs the carbs in the right direction. go for it!

    its funny you said, Im actualy cutting right now. im in my second run of t3 and clen . so would this change anything, would you hold off on the R-ala

    weather i am cutting or bulking my PWO shake PPWO meal never hardly change b.c PWO shake is your most important meal of the day b/c U NEED to restore lost muscle gylcogen so IMO keep it the same

    No.... 20 isn't gona do jack $hit for you. If your gona drop it down don't go below a 1/3 of a cup (51g)

    Two scoops of chocolate whey protien, one scoop malto using whey scooper, 3 table spoons of dex. I use a shaker bottle w/ the grate in the lid, best tasting shake Ive ever had and no chunks at all.

    Also for pre AND post WO make sure you take in all the electrolytes. Pre WO will make sure that your muscles and nervous system has the right sources for contraction and firing when under exertion, and post WO will make sure that all that you lost through sweating will be readily available again, so making for steady levels in you body and aiding in your recovery and recuperation.

    my PWO shake of dex and ON choclate whey is the best meal in my diet, it taste great. i look foward to it all day for some reason, tastes kinda like a cheat meal to me. hehe

    I get my stuff custom blended. The company I use also blends dextrose and maltodextrin if you like. A single scoop provides 50g of carbs, and it mixes very well.


    My PWO shake is a blend of the following:

    20% Whey Concentrate
    39% Microfiltered whey
    7% Hydrolized High grade
    13% Egg White Protein
    9% Creatine
    6% Glutamine
    6% Glutamine Peptides


    I also add a scoop of dextro/malto blend. This give me 52g protein, 50g carbs, 10g creatine, 15g glutamine. I got mine flavored chaocolate, and they don't remove protein to make the mix weigh the same...if you buy 10lbs of protien and have it flavored, you get 10lbs of protein, plus whatever the flavoring and or sweetener weight.

    I use creatine right after working out and protein about half an hour after working out, and then again about two hours after working out.
