    Home lifter

Just curious who else only lifts at home. I dont go to a gym i only lift at home with just the basics(bench+**** load of steel weights) also have a cable machine. This is the way ive always lifted and i love the ease of stepping to my back porch to lift.

I have a garage full of gym equipment.. It's the only way i'd have it. I have several people that workout here though so that helps on spotting. Most gyms I go to around here play usher or r kelly, and have people that ask you questions about where you get your steroids at and how much do you bench? I'd rather be in my garage, crankin some metal and pumping myself up mentally and hit the weights.

I workout at home also, I have a wife and a 3 yr old son that I have to spend time with. The home gym is really the only way for me at this point in time.

Thanks man. I really enjoy it. Thinking about some power hooks to help with the dumbbell presses as soon as I up the weight any more. Starting to get scary by myself.

I workout in my apt too. Squat rack, lat pulldown, bench with leg curl/ext, and a lot of weights. Great way to piss off the neighbors. I think i'm at the point where I need to find a good hardcore lifting gym somewhere though. The lack of spotters is beginning to take it's toll.

I'll toss in my vote for power hooks. They're the sh*t.

I mostly work out at home cause I got just under an hour drive to the closest gym (yeah I live in a rural area). I got free weights and a couple high/low cables plus a smith machine if I can't get a spotter. Love the dumbbells though!

I workout at home and really enjoy it. I can do alot of things with the stuff I have so I don't see a real point in going to the gym, I'd like too add another machine or two, but I make do with what I have now.

I like workingout at home, I push myself harder...and I can growl loud as I can....and blast the music...the music I want to listen to....and when I crash on some lifts...no know will hear the loud weights smacking on the ground.

Yea a spotter is something i do need, ive been pinned few times on my bench already (lol)Its funny now but sucked at the time, any way nice to see others i can relate to.Im an old metal head so yea i jam the music i like also.I honestly dont think id lift near as much if i had to rely on a gym.The basics is all i need, steel bench weights etc.

Thats one of the better home gyms i've seen. You've got alot of gear. I used to train at home but only had a bench and some free weights. I thought i'd be better off at a gym, though they're not always the best when they're crowded and there's so many idiots who hog equipment cos they don't know what they're doing, or its more of a social thing standing around chatting. Its common around here in many gyms.
