Deadlifts and lats
What do deads build more, your lat width or thickness? Do they build more your lower lats or upper lats?
I'm doing 4x5 increasing the weight each set.

Deadlifts work almost your entire back. But primarily it hits your spinal erectors. Indirectly it hits your traps, lats, posterior serratus and maybe your rhomboids.
