NO.. cardio and weights should always be split! It is said that you should have at least 3 meals before you lift weights!

I believe it can be done.

    SC,
Correct me if I am wrong but if he were to eat an ample amount of complex carbs before bed, wouldn't he still have plenty to burn while weight training, then hit cardio after?

    (Just thinking out loud)

How do you guys feel about training in the AM on a empty stomach? Just get up, down some water, and train for about an hour -no cardio.

I use to do it all the time. (And I don't look like an Olsen twin. ;D)

I've been doing it for about 2 weeks now. I started to notice my bf% in areas like my lower stomach and love handles started to go down a bit.

I have tried it and found that I was weak. When I train before work I eat 1/3 cup of oatmeal and a 40gram protein shake. I train for an hour, then have a protein shake with carbs. It worked for me. There is some evidence that training in the AM lowers your cortisol levels...read it in Muscular Developement and Flex...

If it is working for you, then stick with it.

Myself, I have to wait at least two hours after I eat before I train or I will puke.
