    good Leg workout

Need a good leg workout for a 13 year old boy. He plays baseball and he is the pitcher. His coach told him to strengthen his legs.

What would be a good leg workout to where he could still function at practice tommorow?

This is what I do for legs would it work just fine or what?

leg extensions(warm up) nice and slow-15,12,10
leg curls squeez at the top really hard-15,12,10
    lunges-15,12,10
    squats-15,12,10

Thanks for your help bro's it is much needed as always.

Thanks bro's went to ym at about 6:30 tonight and tore it up. He thought he could hang. We were only half way through the workout and he was already asking if we were almost done. On the way there he was like **** I do squats all the time I can hang, so much for being able to hang.lol

He will be hurtin for a few day, but he needs it his legs are not real strong he's like 5'6'' 125 and only squats 175. When get done with him he will be the strongest kid in his grade.

I don't think he should've started with squats...

    Maybe just leg-presses and leg-curls.

I'm all for free-weight movements...and i personally only squat... but at that age.. i don't think an individual is strong enough (tendonwise) or focused enough to employ a squatting regime.

The likelihood of injury is too great IMO.
