    Routine Help

Do you guys think that a five day split like the following is better
    mon- chest
    tuesday-back
    wed- shoulders
    thurs-bis/tris
    fri-legs

    or.. a four day split
    mon- chest/tris
    tues- back/bis
    wed- shoulders
    thurs- legs

    Thanks
    Orion

I would go with the 5 and switch legs to wed, followed by shoulders and then arms. If necessary for you, take a thurs off and continue shoulders fri and arms sat.

I would do It like this

    1 back
    2 triceps
    3 legs
    4 biceps
    5 chest shoulders

With the split like this you will minimize the overlapping of body parts, biceps are not close to back, and same with cheat and triceps..

If you can spend the extra day in the gym, I would definitely go with the 5 day split. The more you spread out the bodyparts, during the week, the more physical and mental energy you will have to train. If someone doubts it, just give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

I've always enjoyed working on program design. Just when you think you've developed the perfect program, you learn something new. The best advice I could give someone is to never stop learning.
