    What was your first "big" goal?

    Just curious as to what people recall as the first big goal the set for themselves in this lifestyle and how vividly they recall achieving it (if they have yet) and how it affected their progress from then on. Me, I started hitting the weights about six months before my 18th b-day at 6'1" and a SKINNY 165. My goal was to bench press plates for one rep (didn't even know it as 135). So, i benched three times a week, friday being a monster day of loading up as many 5 pound plates on the bar as I could handle and then doing one huge stripset. I made it, but a day late Anyway, despite being a day late that made me hungry to hit more and more goals...eventually yielding about 80 extra pounds on to that bone structure that I cursed throughout high school (late bloomer i guess)

    I'm always lookign for little anecdotes to inspire my newbie friends and such, so, anyone care to share?

    my first goal is to reach my weight. then cut up ,gain strength,ect

    Ahh!! the memories of my first goal, came when iwa sonly 14yrs old i wanted to be able to lift 115lbs with one arm overhead , it took me til my 15th birthday but i did it and my goal also helped me get stronger goals are great when they are reasonable

    300lb on the bench. Got that, then 400 on DL, got that, now to get up to 225lb (weight)

    mine was 5 years ago to bench 135. then to squat 300. then to clean 300. now its bench 300, bw of 240

    to nail the chick that scans your card when you walk in, man, shes so fine......oh yeah, and to dumbell press 250lbs. One goal has been accomplished, however, i cant tell you which, she was a little under age.

    205 for 10 was the greatest thing I ever accomplished in HS. Next goal=300 for one...

    Big arms for me! Not the same as you guys. But I was happy when I got to 13.

    i am now 220 lbs bensh : 315 lbs arms: 15.5 my goal is to reash 300 lbs and 500 lbs bensh and have a 26 arms

    All I wanted was a 225lb bench for a single, now hitting 360 for doubles.
    Next is a sword for overall.........and I will get it.
