I like queers and the ACLU . . . I'm an ACLU-card carrying queer myself. I like to think that the ACLU does good work, defending people's constitutional rights & keeping the gov't in their place. If it weren't for them, hispanic and black kids would still be stuck going to sub-standard schools . . . women wouldn't have the right to take contraceptive pills, or get an abortion. If it wasn't for them, the gov't would be telling us when and what we would have to pray. And, if it wasn't for them, atheists would not be able to testify in courts of law (so if your only witnesses to your mugging were atheists, you'd be out of luck). Lots more stuff, like challenging the south's Jim Crow laws, voting rights for minorities. Ya, I like what the ACLU does. That you don't tells a lot about you . . .
