For me, I got into training/writing articles/doing NPC shows in Cali/qualifying for Nationals, etc. This led to magazine exposure, more web business, more web exposure as a result, then more periodical (mags on/off line) exposure, companies offering sponsorships for loyalty to their products, etc. It's hard to get paid in the business of being a pro bodybuilder, so I decided to simply make my own job. Now I have more mags to look forward too, my biz is off the chain, I hit the gym everyday knowing my body is my product, and it's helped me to get where I am today so I must keep bettering it and moving forward. I've got plans for extra positions in movies, try outs for commercials, more mags, and some print-work for sure, Be creative, sky is the limit if you're mind's right.

You gotta have the focus/mind of someone who won't quit and won't accept anything else other than what it is you want. I'm not saying you don't have this focus, I'm just relaying what I've found/experienced to be true.
