Hey bro, i think what u want to use it for will answer ur question. Do u want a gun to carry....? Do u want one for home protection...? Do u want to carry it in ur car..? Do u want it just for target shooting...? Ask urself those questions and then figure out which gun fits...

target shooting? try the match series. go to a dealer and try them on for size . see which one fits your hands, then if they have a range test them out. looks to me like your more interested in something smaller like 9mm but you should really consider the .45 and kimber makes the best. imo anyways. plus your into automatics right?

IF you want accuracy try to get a good 6 shooter with a 6 inch barrel. I've outshot just about everyone in a match shoot with my 38 also, but at time i will either use a 9mm or the 38 super if im in a bind and i have a time limit...

Try Glock
..If you are into 9mm and want to target shoot, I would recommend the Glock 34. It is a "tactical" model which means it has a slighly longer slide and barrel than the standard length Glock 17. Glock calls it a "combat competition" model and I can't improve upon that description. Should set you back about $550.00 depending on where you get it. I used a model 34 in a local "Glock vs. Kimber" shoot and won the thing. You will like it. Kimber makes a fine pistol also, but if you are just target shooting, you will probably prefer 9mm over the .45. Now combat shooting?? I carry a Glock 36 (compact, single-stack .45) and absolutely love it. When I wear a suit I like the Kahr PM9 (currently the smallest and thinnest 9mm pistol made).
I am a veteran of many combat pistol courses given by many instructors and have my own instructor rating. I have seen MANY models of pistol fire many. many rounds. Glock is by far the most reliable. Sig/Sauer probably second. H/K third, tied with Kimber. Berettas suck and so do Colt 1911s. Hope this helps!

I just bought a GLOCK. Its a 10mm, which I would recommend for target shooting, just because It is almost 12-20 a box for 50 rounds, which is a little high. If you want to take it hunting as a side arm, it will def. take down an animal as close range. I find that its a bit unaccurate over like 40 feet. Its a cool gun though. Does any one else know about GLOCKS?

Oh and a suggestion on ammo, check and see if there are any gun shows around. That is the best way to stock up on ammo, i always buy my ammo buy the case of 1000 rounds for 90 bux. I do it for my 9mm, 223, and my ak's, i like to stock pile, never know when a war might erupt.....

get a 22 hand gun. people say its a wussy gun, but are you planning on blowing peoples heads off?
the 22 is small, sleak, light weight, isnt real loud when shot, and its pretty cheap.

if you want target full size hk's, glocks, sigs, para's, and kimbers. and springfield x series full size..... shop around, ask around and shoot them yourself first.
personally i like rugged guns like hk's and glocks.. you can shoot them under water( like you would really need to) but they are the most rugged guns on the market.
