Saw the Doc today...not good
My doc thinks I might have Hepatitis C...he is running test for it and I will find out next week. This sh*t sucks. I don't know much about it but it doesn't sound good.
Anyone know anything about it?

keep us posted. I wish you the best. Doctors can come off the wrong way when they think you have a problem that they cant figure out. Hopefully, this is the case here and it it nothing major.

I know how it feels to sit and wait for crap like this. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
1. Once a cheat always a cheat!
2. YES, SHE can get pregnant the first time!
3. NO, PULLING out IS NOT a RELIABLE method of Birth Control. DAMMMMIT..... Wrap that shyte UP!!
Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.
For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free". Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire Pig, just to get a little sausage.

yo !!
did he base this diagnosis on your liver enzyme levels??!!!because if you're on gear your levels will be raised and that it when these docs scream Hep C.correct me if i'm wrong DOC M? i know 3 girls that were told they could have Hep C just because they were on 17AA birth control. i told them to get off it for a month and a miracle happened....no Hep C!!
are you on whiel you were taking this blood test??

Although AS use can elevate liver enzymes, the treating Physician should not scream Hep C until they have done the appropriate testing..
Polymerase Chain Reaction test is a fairly new testing procedure that is far advance then the older methods of testing..The PCR test can detect the actual virus in a persons blood stream..There are three types of PCR diagnostic blood tests as follows:
HCV PCR viral detection test
HCV PCR viral load test
HCV PCR genotype test
Butch, did your Doc use these methods and explain to you what he was having done?

it scares me sometimes with these doctors and it's sad because i have to be at death's door b4 i go to my doctor and honestly he's very up on what i do as i spent years informing him on AAS as he admits little background with this.
good post Doc as i never knew the correct tests to ask for in this type of situation!!the Doc speaks once again!!

Hey Doc, yeah he doing th extensive HCV testing. I am not on a cycle...he did three different liver test and they all showed high levels of inflamation. He said he fears this the most...as in the is the worst case scenario. I took the tests yesterday and I get them back next Tuesday at the latest.
He ran some other tests but I forgot the name...it starte with "cey" or something like that.
And to answer your question doc....he really didn't explain them. He told me the treatment that I would have to go through if i have it...but other than that he said this is the most he fears....
Thanks all for you well wishes....this is why AR is a classy board!

Did he give you your levels? I was diagnosed with that a year and a half ago it was just high values after all the tests were done. Stay strong, it will work out.

Oh man, I hope you don't have hep C. I used to work with a guy who had it, and he had to do 6 months of weekly interferon shots that made him sick as a dog for a couple days after the injection. Interferon is expensive as hell too, I hope you have good insurance.

I have Hep-C I have had it for five years now.. it's inactive meaning that it's pretty much asleep. It can be controlled. I have also seen some other people with it,(county jail & Penn) i guess they did not take good care of themselves because you could tell they were not healthy. Eyes yellow and ****. Not good at all.
A nurse here at the hospital has had it for 25 yrs and she's still looks healthy. No treatment at all. I talk to her once in while that's how i know.
hopefully you do not have it, i got it because i was stupid and shared a needle with a friend. I got what i deserved, i just thank god it was not HIV.
Point is you can live a normal life.. Anyway i don't know where im going with this post, i guess im just trying to say, it's not the end of the world.
good luck
