I think Kerry and Bush are both morons. I guess i'll just vote for the lesser of two evils.

Kerry is brilliant. I don't agree with him on everything, but the man is smart. That cannot be denied.

If you are going to base who your president is based on conflicting information from thirty years ago please do the country a favor and don't vote...these so-called facts are exactly what got Dan Rather in the heap of sh!t he's in now.

[QUOTE=helios] i lean towards the right, yes. But seriously, if you are misinformed about the issues or are basing your vote on opinionated or biased material like "farenheit 9/11" or bill o'reilly its a real disservice to the educated people of this country.
I agree with you on that. Another thing that I personally find bothersome is when someone casts their vote solely for the party and not the canditate. My father is like this. Hes a die hard democrat, and he always votes a straight democratic ticket no matter what. For instance, a democratic/republican canditate could be a serial killer-rapist-pedophile and still get a vote from these people because they're a democrat/republican. Seems awfully simple-minded to me.

read the swiftboat
book by o'neill. very informative as to the character of kerry. only joined the navy b/c swift boats saw no action. then lies about his service to swindle his wya into his first purple heart and bronze start.
of the 200 and some guys on the boats, something close to 90% are agaisnt kerry and call him a liar.
the point is that kerry keeps referring to vietnam and how he know how to fight...does he? it wouldn't be an issue if he didn't keep referring back to it.

I say its bullsh!t just on the basis of the fact that the guy who created that flash was an idiot and does not know how long it takes for a reader to read something.

actual most intellectuals(that means smart people hoss) vote for john Kerry in this case (not always do we vote for dems). You can tell by where his votes are coming from.........not backwards states. Bush gets alabama, louisianna, and texas.....kerry gets new york, california, and massachusettes.......

do some research. As soon as someone tells me that theyre a democrat, I immediately discount their intelligence.Last edited by chris64; 10-16-2004 at 11:57 AM.

but then again, this country needs idiots too. I need someone to make my burgers and fries, and pick up my garbage, and you're not going to find many republicans doing it.

That statement at the bottom of your post is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I have read in a long time.

Lay off the Burgers and Fries, Bro. They'll kill you. I can't tell you how many beat up ****ty cars I see with Bush/ Cheney Bumperstickers. I happen to believe they are the candidates for the very rich and the very poor and stupid. Any middle class person (40-200k a year) who votes for Bush is a big fat idiot and is voting themselves out of a job and existance, in my opinion.
As far as your claim that Repubs are "more educated", I used to work as a TA for a local reputable Law School. It was loaded with Democrats, and you were hard pressed to find a professor that wasn't a flaming liberal. Republicans hung together in small, but ineffectual little packs and were the OBVIOUS minority.

Those making between $30,000 and $50,000 are Democrats, 34 percent to 30 percent, while those making between $50,000 and $75,000 are more Republican, 35 percent to 29 percent. People who make $75,000 or more are strongly GOP, 39 percent to 28 percent.
...Just as with income, as educational levels go up, more people are inclined to be Republican. Americans with less than a high-school education are overwhelmingly Democratic, 41 percent to 20 percent, while people who have just a high-school degree are Democrats, 34 percent to 28 percent. People with some college training tend to be Republicans, 32 percent to 31 percent while those with at least bachelor's degrees are Republican, 33 percent to 32 percent. I've seen other surveys on partisanship that show people with advanced degrees to be more Democratic than Republican, making those just bachelor's degrees more Republican if they're broken out of all those with some sort of a college degree.
...Racially, white Americans are more Republican, 34 percent to 29 percent. Blacks are staunchly Democratic, 65 percent to 6 percent and Hispanics are slightly less Democratic, 40 percent to 20 percent. The survey doesn't have statistics for Native Americans and Asian Americans, likely because those groups have relatively small populations numbers, skewing poll results."

It's not insulting to me, I prefer the Libertarian political philoshy. It's dumb becasue a person's political philosophy is not linked to their inteligience.
