Happy Saint Patricks Day everybody. I know it's Sunday but screw it.....I'm drinking anyway!! BTW....I'm not on cycle right now so no worries. The Guiness is in the fridge cooling as we speak, I only have 6 and one bottle of Harp and one bottle Smithwicks so the likelihood of me getting on here drunk is low...I need much more than that...however, my dad usually has the Rye flowing freely at family gatherings (and my folks have a PC with high speed internet

), soooooooo......................stay tuned for further details.

Happy St. Patty's everyone....

Today after the Hurricanes baseball game I toasted the "Old Sod" with a couple of Harp Lagers and a plateful of corned beef & cabbage at a full O'Rourkes Pub & Grill here in Miami.

Was a fun time watching the Creighton vs. Illinois game while partying with some fellow Irishmen for the day.

It was a great day....but alas I didn't get near the PC...had too much fun just spending time with my family. I actually didn't go overboard yesterday either...I only had 8 beer...no "GREEN" beer...2 amber and 6 stout. I had almost forgotten how much I like Guiness. I hope everybody else enjoyed their day as much as I did. BTW....I can promise that there will be many more drunken posts to follow so don't worry

Good to hear from ya Pete, for my day yesterday see post above ! Was the amber Harp? That's what filled my whistle yesterday, good ol' Harp (made by Guiness).

Why do American celetbrate St.Patricks day on the wrong day ?.
You celebrated it on Saturday 16th, why?.
It's celebrated here in Ireland on the 17th March every year.

Same in Canada...whether it's a Monday, Wednesday, Sunday....whatever day the 17th falls on...we drink. I know in some US Cities it is celebrated on whatever day ot falls on...for example yesterday in Boston. I think some places like to celebrate it on either Friday or Saturday night (whichever is closest to the actual date) so bar patrons don't have to worry about work the next day.

Hmmmm, everyone here in Miami celebrated on the 17th....and I always have as far back as I can remember.

I think some folks celebrated on Saturday because they didn't have to go work the next day (Sunday) and some bars & pubs took advantage of that. You know $$$ rules everything, so why not take advantage?

i was in chico...it was crazy, lots of free green beer, kegs, girls, i passed out at 4 in the afternoon! im hurting right now man and im in class right now!
