I have a PS2 do I buy an xbox?

So I went out today with my 8 yr old and played halo2 at the store. It was really cool. What compares to halo2 for playstation? Is there anything that is better or, anything that is as cool? Would you guys spend the money for the xbox or just stick with the PS2? I do not have an ethernet port on my PS2, so I would not be able to play online. What do I need to buy for PS2 to make it as cool as the xbox's Halo 2 game?

Get an xbox... seriously just get an xbox, theres ALOT more you can do with it. Also bro trust me in the long run it will cost you alot less.

The way I see it is like this....

Xbox has WAY better graphics
PS2 has way better game play ( only because there are so many **** games )

I think xbox is a way nicer console, and if you've played the same game on PS2 and Xbox you will see the difference right away. But what always tempts me with PS2 is the wide selection of games.

Cool thanks guys, I just rented a few games for PS2 to see if I want to do that (cheapest way) I'll tell ya what I think later.

I just picked up splinter cell and Ghost recon 40.00 for the 2. Pretty cool,,, not as cool as Halo 2, but pretty cool. I also rented Killzone, thats prettty cool too.
Thanks guys, I think I'm still gonna ask the wife for xbox!
