I think hunting is for dorks, lol... nothing exciting about killing cute little animals, pretty pathetic if you ask me, if you are hunting cops wich have guns and can defend themselves.. well that sopunds pretty wild and tough and exciting and dangerous, shooting bunnies, kind of sad.

I'm glad I opened this one! I am an avid hunter and sportsman. I primarily hunt big game with a bow, but I do a great deal of shooting at the range. If I get my honey-do list completed tomorrow, I will snap some pics of a few of my long range rifles.
Red, I am a 10/22 fanatic. I have a few customized ones myself. One I never have finished is a 10/17 with an experimental GreenMountian barrel. It was a test run for an individual who bought the entire production run. I have serial number 00002. I am putting it in a Richard's Microfit, but I have to upgrade my woodworking skills on old stocks before I ruin this beauty.
Living in GA, there are no dog towns, but I would really love to get to work one someday.
MBH, with the hopped up handloads, what kind of throat errosion are you getting on your .22-250? Are you using a borescope to check the thing? .22-250's are notorious for throat errosion, surpassed only by the .220 Swift. I just got my .22-250 back from the manufacturer because of a defect. Time to go burn some powder!

And the hunting cops thing... geez, its a way of saying that if you are going to play hunt and seek, you should play against someone that can defend themselves or has a gun also.. that way, it wouldn't be abuse/// go wrestle a tiger or something, let me know who wins when you dont havee your little gun.

Abstrack, all you are doing is getting yourself worked up. You will not show Dimes a thing. Just let him go on saying stupid stuff. No need for you to get worked up about it.
As for killing the varmints, don't you kill mice? These little suckers cost hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to ranchers because of injured cattle. They also carry disease.
I don't like the idea of glorifying and videoing their deaths, but do you think there is a quicker way to kill them than a 40gr bullet at 4000fps?

Not to mention that a mosquito can transmit disease. These prarie dogs are doing absolutely nothing to harm the individual that is having a ****ing blast blowing them to peices. It's disgusting and pathetic to kill something just for the sake of killing it.

Did either of you bother to read that these little cute critters carry disease and cost farmers money...which in turn costs us money at the store? I don't like the glorification of this, as that is simply sinister; however, there is a very good reason for killing them.

Dimes, don't think for a minute that your comments are unsettling to me...they are not.
The way in which you worded the precvious response was in a semi-threatening manner (implying of course that the threat did exist, even though you would not be the one to carry out such a thing).
Relax...no sweat here.

This thread was made for hunting enthusiasts.... I don't the title had anything to do with the morality of hunting, so this is like any other thread in the lounge.... if you don't agree with the topic, don't open it and read the posts.... You know if your against hunting, all your going to do is work yourself up by reading the posts, so why bother.
I respect a persons choice not to hunt, so respect our choice to hunt. Its not illegal and this isnt a PETA forum.
Thanks
