August went to funeral of a friend I had had since I was in pre school.

all of 2004 was BLAH for me. mentally & physically. 2003 was the best year of my life, but thats in the past now. im really looking forward to 2005. Call me weird, but great things happen to me during odd-numbered years.
I trained like sh*t this year, and the dedication wasnt there. I was distracted by a number of things. .... but '05 is going to be stellar.

First ill give alittle brief history.... at 18, i was 285... I got in this big kick to lose hella weight before graduation.... I followed the advice of my bestfriend who was a marathon runner... needless to say i lost 80lbs by then, but was a midly chubby skinny kid.... continued to just run for the next 2 years to maintain weight while partying...
Flash forward to this year, my other guy( a member on here ) referred me here for diet advice because i started gaining hella weight back.... i finally got my diet info down to a 'T' after ALOT of reading on here by march.... I started liftin for the first time in Feb. of this year along with morning cardio..... I lost roughly 30lbs from Feb. to May of this year on just ephedrine with some clen in the last month.
I was so happy to find this site, I seemed to gain muscle while dieting because i did it correctly and i never lifted before.... First time i lifted with my friend, i did 315lbs for 2 reps on deadlifts, after that, i did all lifting by myself and by june i was doin 385lb deads.... I continued dieting throughout summer for "big" events such as vacations with friends....
I tried dnp mid summer, worked great.... I ended up goin on my big vacation with my guys with my two abs showing through ( this was a GREAT feat for me since i have lose skin from all weight loss and i was never skinny ). I started my first natty bulk in end of August, but with school, a new ****ty job, and my parents sorta putting me totally on my own, i slacked off in the fall months and drank to much among some other bad bad habits which took alot to stop.
This nov., I finally got control of myself again and went back to cutting. I decided it wasnt worth diggin myself in that kinda hole, so now ill party, but in moderation. I lost a decent amount of weight up till now, and i just started my first "solid" bulk.
I hope to keep this up and make it my new years resolution.... Be strict in the gym BUT be even MORE strict in life by not lettin temptation of HS friends get the best of me who dont have the same goals and asspirations.
EVEN though i had a couple month bad stint, this was a great year to find AR. Who knows how fat i woulda gotten and the more trouble i would have gotten in if i didnt have you great bros to look up to for inspiration.
The more and more I spend here, the more of a better person I become.
This is my long drawn out year end review,
Thanks AR guys and gals,

Ostie, awesome success story bro! Did you ever post pics in the members pics? Do you have before pics from 285? And then down to 205? That must be an awesome transformation.
I know what you mean about people with out the same goals. I have to try and stay away from my friends that like to eat fast food all the time or head out to all-u-can-eat buffets all the time. I also have to stay away from friend inviting me to the movies when it's gym time.
Stay the course, eatting right and excersise do work.
