Anyone ever drink absinthe?

My friend got me a bottle from the czech republic and im drinking some on new years eve, anyone ever try it? Its 70% alcohol and a hallucinogen so thats cool

well, but the concentration of that hallucinogen is only a tenth of what it used to be. so don t expect too much from it. But I guess 70% aclohol does the job

i've got a bottle of black absinthe in my room. That's 80% vol 160 proof i've only drank that once and never again.

Tried it once. It was 70% also. I took one shot, straight not diluted, and threw up the next morning. Before that, I hadn't thrown up in years. So, make sure you add sugar and water. :spudniklu

i a friend of mine wanted to get some of this stuff before after he had read about it, we never did find it, be sure and let us know how it goes, if it does what its said to do

I doubt it can do what it used to. I believe the wormwood concentration is lower in all manufactured bottles now-a-days. :spudniklu

yeah its never made me hallucinate, just makes my stomach burn! does the job tho

i drank plenty of absinth when i lived in czech. cant really say i ever got any wild effects. youll get drunk before anything. I think the hallucinations come with long term use....

Anybody thought of trying to add more wormwood, to increase the concentration?

yes i drink 1 or 2 shots when im out in a club on a sat nite,it gets me revved up ,none of my mates can take it but good luck drinking it from a bottle you will be eating your own sick for breakfast.

Isnt wormwood used as a paint thinner in germany? My friend lived their for 6 years and in art class they had to have parental consent to use the paint thinner... This was also on a AFB.

Do you know how to pour the abstine? Do you have a sugar cube spoon?

If the brand is Hills, Le Fee or La Boheme then its gonna have a pretty high wormwood content, but i would suggest drinking it like this, One shot of Absinthe Original in a small tumbler. Take a teaspoon of sugar. Dip the teaspoon into the absinthe so that the sugar absorbs the liquid. Then, holding the spoon above the absinthe, set light to the sugar. Let it burn for a minute or so. The sugar will bubble and begin to caramelise. Once the flame is beginning to die down, stir the shot of absinthe with the sugared spoon (smothering the glass if it catches alight). Now add an equal measure of water and some ice if needed. I suggest using the water and ice....

I drank real absynthe in amsterdam, my dads family is from there (I have dual citizenship too, a Canadian Irish Dutchmen that doesnt smoke weed- Anymore)... Real absynthe is primo... But its illegal in NA.

we sell it in my liquor store but its not the one with wormwood. its still 70% and gets u pretty messed up but not like the real stuff would. it tastes like mouth IMO....make sure u melt the sugar cube in it.

Rent The Movie "from Hell". In The Bonus Disc There's A Whole Section On It. What Color The Real Stuff Is And All That Stuff. Just Think People Really Used To Lace It With Laudanum (opium Based Tonic) In The Days Of Way Back. I Did A Report On It Before. People Like Ben Franklin,thomas Jefferson And George Washington Himself. Most Of The Time It Was Used As A Pain Killer Though.
