what razor brand or machine do you use?
I have used Gillette sensor and now Mach IV for over 10 years now, but havent tried anything else.
Anyone think there is a better way to shave?

Cool... I looked at it at the store but darn it's expensive for what it does!
Been using el-cheapo Shick Extreme-3 and I find they actually work better on my face than the Gilette Mach-3 (which is almost twice the price).
May give one of those vibrating razors a try just for the heck of it...

Don't laugh but I use a Venus when I shave my head because it's the only thing that doesn't cut me.

I use a Mach III Turbo. I only shave every second day and it works great on my thicker beard. I have been wondering about that new one. Perhaps I will give it a try!

Try it bro. I shave every second day as well.. But I might try to shave everyday with this one..
It still has the same blade as the M3 I believe. I hope so because I have like 20 of blades. And those f'ing things are expensive..LOL

I learned how to use a straight razor in barber school, and once ya get used to it, it works pretty good.
First ya practice shaving a balloon, then when ya get so you don't pop it (the secret is to not slide the thing sideways), you can start on your own face.
Important thing is to use good shaving cream, not the stuff in spray cans, or anything with a designer label on it. Best shaving creams are:
1) Lucky Tiger "Molle" (an old brand going back to the 1930's that LT bought) http://www.getluckytiger.com/osproducts.html
and
2) Truefitt & Hill (imported from England) http://www.truefittandhill.com/Merch...tegory_Code=SC
To get the absolutely best shave possible, you need the Lucky Tiger Lemon cream and the Lucky Tiger after shave cream (I like the menthol stuff better) . . .
First, you apply the lemon cream, then apply a HOT STEAMING towel and let it sit for 30 seconds or so, re-apply another HOT STEAMING towel, then wipe everything off.
Then you splash some hot water on, apply the Molle shaving cream, and shave, always shaving in the direction the hair grows. If it's not cut close enough, you can apply more shaving cream and cut "across the grain," and that should do it. If you cut "against the grain," you're asking for problems.
Thirdly, you apply the after-shave cream, then apply another HOT STEAMING towel for 30 seconds, and wipe everything off.
Finally, wet a towel with ice water, and apply that mother to your face for 30 seconds, and then you won't be able to stop yourself from saying, "Damm, that Tock sure knows his shaves!"
Sure, it generates a lot of laundry, but that's what people pay me $15 (plus tip) to do . . .

I never liked the Mach 3...I found the head to be too big to get around.
I personally like the Sensor Excel.

Majority uses Mach 3, so I guess I am using the best out there. Anyone use an electric shaver?
I am curious too, as to how often do you change the blades. I use one per week.

I have an electric one also but under the chin and the upper neck it don't get very well. But it works good on the face..
I go through about 1 blade a week also..

I use a Lawn Boy. 4 rotating blades. My girl b*tches about it being too loud in the house, but I get a good close shave with it. It runs on Ethanol too...good for the enviornment.
