Is meat cheaper if you buy in bulk from a butcher as opposed to the grocery store?

I kill my own deer. About $100 to have one processed at the butchar or free if I do it in my garage. Its fun w/ the doors open when ppl drive by.

Yes I buy a side of beef at a time. It comes to about $1.99 a lbs. That includes my steaks, roast, burger.
