My dog had to get stitches tonight
She cut her pad on some broken glass outside and got a pretty bad gash. My girlfriend took her to the vet and they stitched her up, bandaged her, and gave her some amoxicilin and some pain meds.
I can tell she's miserable. I hate it. I don't have any kids but she's like my daughter.
On the up side, she weighed 73.1 lbs at the vet and she's still only 9 months old. She should be well over 100 lbs when she's done growing (she's a rottweiler).

Great dogs....I've always wanted one. Hope everything goes well, i too know how pets can be seen upon as kids. i know my dog is bored all the time since my other dog died (german shepard) a few years ago. So it's only him now. This one is younger though so i try to provide him with fun toys for him to play. I bought him a doggy basketball yesterday and he ripped it apart today. go figure, lol

She's all whacked out from the pain meds too. I hate seeing her like this. I took her outside to pee and she just like wandered around aimlessly. Then when I opened the door to go inside she didn't want to go up the steps because of her paw. So I carried her in.
I'm such a softy when it comes to her. I'm gonna spoil her with a bunch of treats in the next few days.

I know how you feel, I miss my 2 dogs bad! I had a beagle and a lab. I went out to the garage to get something ( forgot what) and found my beagles collar and couldn't stop crying. ( lab had to be put to sleep and beagle died of old age ( 16years old))
p.s. lab was part roth and I love that breed too.Last edited by goodcents; 02-23-2005 at 07:47 PM.
