Cable TV through your computer???
I visited my buddy at his college a few months back. He had this tiny little apartment and instead of buying a tv, he would watch it through his computer. I believe it was over the internet, because i remember him being able to minimize it or have it take up the whole screen. I believe he was connected to the internet with a cable connection as am I.
I would like to do this, because I have a small bedroom, but I have a big apple flatscreen monitor so it would probably work out pretty nice.
Anyone know where to get this?
Thanks,

You either need a video capture card or something like a Radeon All In Wonder Video Card. I have a 9800 Pro AIW, i can watch tv and record etc, pretty cool. I use it to record my shows.

You dont watch it over the internet. As Psychotron said, you either need a tv tuner, or a video card with one built in. You can buy the individual card for around $20, but a good one will cost you around $80.

Its just a TV tuner card you buy and put inside your computer. You just run a cable line right to it and you can watch cable TV. As far as I know its not done through the internet at all. Best Buy has them for around $50 right now after rebate, my buddy just got one.
