That is one thing that has always pissed me off about the cops around here. When I have been stopped I have always been polite and yes sir no sir when talking to them. But they respond to me like I am a 3 year old and talk down to me. I hate that crap. Originally Posted by XxElitexX

THAT COP was a PRICK. NOT ALL COPS!!!! How many other times do you think he's pulled over someone, started being nice to them..... and got cursed at, spit on, insulted, etc. I have seen so many training videos of of a cop giving a ticket and getting attacked for a fuking speeding ticket.
You know how dangerous a fuking traffic stop is? You pull someone over for speeding. They turn out to be a title 10, 3 striker that doesn't want to go to jail again. Next thing you know you are getting shot at, beat down or run over. And you wonder why cops have a tendancy to be a$$holes.
Is it impossible to give respect and be cautious at the same time???? I know it is dangerous...obviously after talking to me and knowing that i am not going to jump him, spit on him, pull a gun or stab him...he could give me some respect.

OK, I will drop my anti-cop commentary and be realistic. Where I live cops get killed, and it isn't all by black drug dealers that live in the projects. There are bad guys from every race and backround. They are practicing self-preservation when they take authority and don't come off so polite.

What I think is funny is how people complain about getting busted for the crime they commit. I think they just suck at not getting caught. It's anyones freedom and right to drive a motor vehicle all they want. All they have to do is buy some land, get a car, and they can drive on it all day long. When you decide to take this car out onto the freeway, it is no longer your right, it is a privelidge as you are driving on government property. Naturally, boundries have to be set such as speed limits and when people don't obey them and get cited for it they get all butt-hurt about it. I don't rely on the cops, but I do respect the ones that do their job the way it should be done.

In all seriousness.......there's a lot of crap in this work. MOST cops don't like working traffic. They would rather be doing the big busts, catching the bad guys, etc. But its PART of the JOB. It PAYS the bills.
I helped to find a lost girl.....for all the bull**** that has to be done 11 out of a shift...that one thing....taking that little girl back to her mom safe and sound......made it worth it.
