Funny to me to be honest...

I'll ride thur areas like that without much thought... Even hopped out
before on some dude in an all black neiborhood because he was running
up with a 40oz bottle to smash my window out at a redlight. He eneded
up putting the bottle down when he saw someone was crazy enuf to
jump out in that neiborhood and grab him by the throat with a big hand
ready to fly... Probably good my actions got him to back down, cus even
if I went and beat his ass, their was 5-6 dudes on all 4 corners that I'm
sure would have had something to say or do... As it was he looked like
a punk and I rolled on without any more trouble.. Maybe it was all luck,
who knows...

lol reminds me of half my buddies lol, last week some dude runs up to my boy with a huge knife, my budy pulls one out smaller t han his and the kid with the bigger knife ran, I think people just do stuff like that to test people. but if im in a different neighbourhood FAR FAR away from mine i just play it safe you never know who your messing with. could be the "OG" of the hood yo lol

Yeah I agree playing it safe is the smart thing to do, but I'm to hardheaded
for that... I'm not stupid, just fearless, which I guess would classify me as
being stupid to most people... I've found myself in bad spots a few times...

I have lived on 53rd and Osage in West Philly and 19th and Cumberland in North Philly. Not walked through, or drove by in a car. I lived there, hung out on the block, kicked it to girls, etc.

Went to drop off weight in SW DC, went in to a hit house and got a tour of it, part of the tour was a room where they killed someone the night before and his brains were still on the wall.

I could tell plenty of stories about Amsterdam Avenue in New York but I would rather not.

I'm just curious, all this talk about tough cities and states...

How many of you have actually been to the roughest areas
or your states? Or cities you've visited? I make it a point to
go and see how nasty places are, call me stupid or call it a
hobby... Worse places I've seen, Areas of BMore, North and
West Philly, To many places in DC to name, One rough area
right outside of Pittsburg that I still remember and wonder
why I was there at 3AM... Areas of Atlantic City back 10+
years ago when it was even much worse then it is now me
walking dark side streets, maybe inviting trouble... Newark,
Jersey City, other areas of North Jersey... Remember Asbury
Park was one scary place about 10+ years ago too... Even
in the day time it wasn't very inviting...

Know a guy that was shot dead in the head because he
wouldn't give up his new NFL Starter Jacket in North Philly...
The guy mugging him said give it up, He didn't, so dude
shot him in the head and took it off his dead body...

Have a friend that bought a house 3 blocks from the Harbor
in B-More and the day I went to hang with him see stains
outside his place and say WTF happened here? Says a guy
got offed right infront of his steps leading to his house the
night before... He was up and heard the shots... That was
a nice neiborhood... He was a good ole Kentucky boy and
had no idea what kind of place he was moving into...

Seen a dude get a glock unloaded at him right in front of me
as the two cats were running in a bad area of West Philly, I
just watched it like it was a movie, dude was maybe 20 yards
from me running for his life across a parking lot... Everyone
ducking and I'm standing there watching the whole thing
like a scene from a movie... (After awhile this **** becomes
normal) Point is all this talk, how many of you have really
seen some stuff? All this talk about tough cities and no
stories... Makes me think most of you have been hiding
in the Suburbs your whole life... If not how about a story
or two...

ha! i got you beat by two! im surprised at massachussets though , in 2004 boston had like 64 homocides if im not mistaken, I thought that was number 1 for homocides ? and my mother told me 2 people just got shot on sunday night for some dumb reason. im actually surprised about the first 3, maryland is bad though they have the biggest heroin problem in the country over there.
