Pick a ride Poll
Well my current lease (Audi) is up in Sept and although that's a few months out I'm debating the following replacements:
C6 Corvette
C55 AMG
Audi S4
BMW M3
Caddy CTS-V
300 C SRT8
Infiniti M45
Personally, after driving the vette which wasn't even on my radar screen it's at the top of my list, even though the interior is still sub-par for a 50k car. Funny thing is that the vette is cheaper than the M, S4 and C55 to insure. However on the negative side, the vette also has the lowest residual value.
Any others? 60K is my cap.

Instead of leasing, just buy the car and then sell if after a few years (2-4), then buy another one.....cars like BMW's and such don't loose as much of their value so quickly so it can work to your advantage. That might only work if you buy the brand new models though.......
If it were me I'd take the Caddy or the BMW.

Yeah I think I am actually buying this time as I get bored with cars after 6/12 months and want something else, too hard to get out of a lease thus the reason I've had my Audi for so long. And the caddy is sweet, drove that last week along with the vette sorta like a vette with 4 doors but not really.

The caddy is sweet but I would go with the vette.

My dads driving the CTS now however it doesnt have the Vette engine its a sweet ride... Its pretty cool with the nav system and all... And its big enough to seat 4 comfortably.
You dont have the Jag on there though... also a sweet car

My dad has the E55 AMG and that is a sweet ride, but the new V8 m3 is looking sexy

I'd kill for an E55, that is one bad ride and yeah the v8 m3 is going to be hot however it won't be available until sometime next year and probably like the 300C SRT8 it'll be commanding 5-10k over msrp which I'll leave for those with more money than brains, talk about being upside down on a loan.
C55 is like a baby E55 for us poor folk.

Audi S4! Dont like the new M3.

I think i'd go with the caddy.

I myself thought the C55 was bad ass, but they are changing the V6 supercharged to a 5.3 V8. I think the V8 is underpowered for the displacement and the V6 supercharged would be easier to tune for less money. None the less the c55 is a cool ass car!

Your right the C55 is the V8 and the C32 is the V6 supercharged (but the c55 is the replacement for the c32)... sorry i havent been in the scene for awhile. Manuals are starting to be a thing of the past... some of the new autos are faster then manuals. Example is the new mkV VW GTI... the auto is .3 faster then the manual. Ive driven the E55 for short distances before. I had to sign some insurance form saying i wont drive it, so any time i take it out im uninsured. Hence my dad gets nervous if i ask to use it

Yeah the SMG in the M is sweet and I believe posts better times than the manual, it would be great for Bay area traffic too were that to be what I get.

Vette is a cool car, yes, but not functional to drive really day to day. Too nice of a looking car, id be worried about it all the time. CTS-V is my choice. Second choice would be the M3.
BUT, if you are talking about the new C6 Z06 coming out, that has my vote. Should be around 60K

Nice to see a lot of love for GM on the board.
Z06 would be nice but I heard 70K and then there will be the market adjustment, I could always wait till next year and get a better in-between.

70K, wow, didnt know itd be that much. I guess its still more power than the viper, will sound better (V8 sound > V10 sound), and will still be 25G cheaper than a new viper.
Go with the CTS-V. THing has power, sweet brakes, sweet interior, and it shows that you both have a desire for muscle, AND class. CTS-V is like a domestic Ferrari.........fast, fun, and full of class. (But, for the record, i will never directly compare a Caddilac with a friggin Ferrari )Last edited by Hed; 03-27-2005 at 05:02 PM.
